People who've visited SAMA say

The San Antonio Art Museum is a gem.... The Asian collection is comprehensive and incredibly detailed historically as is the Egyptian collection. Both these collections rival the collections found in more well-known museums.

Every time my family and I visit, there is always something new to see. This is by far my favorite museum. Staff is super-friendly, and price is worth all the great artifacts you get to learn about. You can get lost with all its beauty.

I absolutely love this art museum. It has a very welcoming feeling as you walk through the doors. The artwork is breathtaking. The layout is well organized. The staff is very friendly. I loved that my children loved it, I loved it. That doesn't always happen as often as I'd like.

Absolutely amazing! Plan to stay a few hours, though, to get the full enjoyment. Fruit for the soul, this place...the San Antonio Museum of Art was a definite highlight to my trip to Texas. Thank you to all the people who donate and loan art for our enjoyment and enrichment. I throughly enjoyed viewing most of the world through the eyes of some very talented people.
