San Antonio, TX—August 23, 2022—The San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) announced today that Prentice Huntington Miller, Ambassador Sichan Siv, Jennifer R. Kelley, and Wendy Weil Atwell have joined the Museum’s Board of Trustees. Each of them bring unique experiences that will benefit SAMA. They will officially begin their three-year terms on October 1, 2022.
About Prentice Huntington Miller
An attorney with Kreager Mitchell, Miller concentrates her practice on business and real estate transactions. She also helps clients address their state and federal trademark needs. Prior to joining the firm, Miller focused her practice on oil and gas law.
A San Antonio native with a lifelong interest in language, the classics, and fine arts, Miller studied Ancient History at Stanford University.
Miller is a member of the Conservation Society of San Antonio Capital Club and the Texas Mineral and Landowners Association. She also serves on the Ancient Mediterranean Art Visitor’s Committee at SAMA.
About Ambassador Sichan Siv
Sichan Siv served as a U.S. ambassador to the United Nations from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Assistant to President George H.W. Bush and Deputy Assistant Secretary at the State Department. His autobiography, Golden Bones: An Extraordinary Journey from Hell in Cambodia to a New Life in America, became an international best seller.
Ambassador Siv holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. He is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including the George H.W. Bush Award for Outstanding Public Service, DAR Americanism Medal, U.S. Army Commander’s Award, Anne Frank Lifetime Achievement Award, and Brazilian Academy of Art, Culture and History Honors.
About Jennifer R. Kelley
Jennifer R. Kelley is a Senior Social Work Case Manager at the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center at South Texas Veterans Health Care System. She provides social services to veterans, active-duty service members and their families who have sustained multiple injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Kelley holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in art history from Spelman College, a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word. Her passion for the arts was planted by her parents, Dr. Harmon and Harriet Kelley.
Kelley is a San Antonio native and a member and former president of the San Antonio Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. She is also a member of Alpha Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the Texas Women's Forum, and the vestry of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
About Wendy Weil Atwell
Wendy Weil Atwell is a writer living in San Antonio, Texas. She received a master’s degree in art history and criticism from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2002.
Atwell writes literary nonfiction, catalog essays and reviews art for various visual arts publications, both online and in print, including Art Lies, Glasstire, and …might be good. Atwell is also the author of The River Spectacular, a book published in 2010.
She is currently working on a memoir of essays, prose, and poetry about her great-great-grandfather, who became one of Texas’ first Jewish cattle ranchers, and his wife, who raised eleven children in Corpus Christi.
