Do you ever get the feeling that the whole world is constantly accelerating? From social media to the news, group chats to advertisements, there is so much vying for our attention at any given moment. Even in the art museum, it’s tempting to try and see it all.
Give your brain a break on Slow Art Day, a global celebration of mindful looking and quiet reflection—at a human pace. Participants will look at 5 works of art for 10 minutes each and conclude with a facilitated discussion about the experience with a SAMA educator.
Slow looking requires no prior experience! Simply bring yourself and your curiosity to experience art in a different way.
Please plan to arrive by 10:30 to have enough time to view all five works of art.
