Good people of the realm, we bid you to join the Court of the San Antonio Museum of Art for a Knight at the Museum on Thursday, March 28. An unforgettable evening of Renaissance-style revelry and merriment awaits in celebration of SAMA’s current exhibition, The Age of Armor. You’ll enjoy a repast of sumptuous small plates inspired by The Age of Armor and SAMA’s global collection with Chef Jason Dady of Tre Trattoria, alongside restaurants Clementine, Cuishe Cucina Mexicana, and Dashi, with specially curated cocktails by La Ruina.
Entertainment includes jousting and some rousing theatre by composer Nathan Felix and His Merry Makers. DJ Plata will keep things moving with a century-spanning mix of Renaissance music, classic rock, and heavy metal. (Will the playlist include Queen? Abso-lute-ly!).
In keeping with our gallant theme, you’ll want to don a crown, a campy court dress, something metallic, or bust out those heavy metal tees from your headbanging youth. A prize will be given for the best attire, both women and men. All funds raised will benefit SAMA.
$200 // Individual ticket (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
$375 // VIP ticket (6:00 - 9:00 p.m.)
All of the above, plus:
$3,000 // Knights of the SAMA Round Table (6:00 – 9:00 p.m.)
All of the above, plus:
Tickets can be purchased here or call 210.978.8111.
As blood stains our floors, no real weapons, please!
