First Tuesday: Drumming Performance by Austin Taiko
Celebrate the arrival of summer with the booming rhythms of taiko! Taiko means "great drum" in Japanese and has played a role in many aspects of traditional culture in Japan, from warefare, to religious observances, to theatre. Synchronized percussion performances are especially associated with summertime festivals.
