Join us for a happy hour lecture. Grab a drink and join expert Lyn Green as she presents a witty and often overlooked account of Ancient Egypt.
When our attention is turned to ancient Egyptian woman, it is the queens and the wealthy we hear about - but what of the ordinary daughters of the Nile? The site of Deir el Medineh has been a treasure trove of information about many aspects of ancient Egyptian life, not least about the day-to-day life of the ordinary woman in the street. In this lecture, we will discover what daily life was like for women and girls in the New Kingdom.
This program will be held in-person and will be streamed via zoom at 6 p.m.
