Behind every work of art in SAMA's collection is a bewildering array of chemical and physical processes, mathematical calculations, geometric relationships, and extensive experimentation. Don your labcoat and join SAMA docent superstar Nan Allen for a surprising, interactive, and fun ramble through the SAMA galleries to uncover the science of art.

Off the Wall is a curated tour series that explores special topics across SAMA’s collections. Each session is developed and facilitated by passionate docents who can’t wait to share the stories behind SAMA’s most captivating artworks and hidden gems.

Tuesday Bexar County Residents Free General Admission Hours are generously funded by the Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program.
