Open a door into the mind and worldview of Australian Aboriginal culture through readings presented by local authors.

Join us in the Of Country and Culture exhibition to hear readings from "native voices," traditional stories and texts, and modern Aborignal poets and artists. Stories and texts will include: Jerome Rothenberg's Technicians of the Sacred; poets Jack Davis, Maureen Watson, and Oodgeroo Nooniccal; and artists Miriam-Rose Ungunmerr, Wandjuk Marika, and others. Readings will be performed by Vocab, Linda Simone, Octavio Quintanilla, and Jim LaVilla-Havelin. Special performance by Steve Daniel playing the didgeridoo.

This reading will take place in the Of Country and Culture exhibition.
