During a period of declined health, Henri Matisse remained committed to his art. Unable to leave his bed to take up the paintbrush, Matisse cut shapes from brightly painted sheets of paper and attached them to a backing. Jazz was an early venture into how Matisse could pragmatically use and creatively expand this new way of making art. Join local artist, Mark Schlesinger, as he gives an origi nal interpretation of this illustrated book.
