Created Equal: America’s Civil Rights Struggle is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Humanities launched in 2013 to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.  It brings four outstanding films on Civil Rights history to 500 communities across the U.S. to guide public conversation on the ideals of freedom and equality and their changing meaning in American history. The four documentaries are The Abolitionists, Slavery by Another Name, Freedom Riders and The Loving Story.
