First Sundays for Families: World Religions

Sunday, August 4, 2013
1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Great Hall

Special Events / Family Event

Price: Free with museum admission.

The San Antonio Museum of Art invites children and families to explore the collections, create art and share Sundays with the family.

Drawing inspiration from SAMA’s collection and the Jameel Prize: Art Inspired by the Islamic Tradition, children will make artworks that reflect the creative influences of some of the major world religions. Create a sand mandala; sculpt a Buddha statue; practice Arabic calligraphy and learn why Ganesha has the head of an elephant!

First Sundays for Families is made possible by a generous grant from the Faye L. and William L. Cowden Charitable Foundation.
