From familial to the sublime, all aspects of love are explored in this special concert.  Each composer captures the dynamism of love in his own unique voice. Janacek explores the hardships of love through a musical work of contrasting textures and harmonies.  The unconditional nature of love is examined in Dvorak's Romantic Pieces as he evokes the sounds and images from his native Bohemia.  And Mendelssohn expresses the intimate nature of love with this great masterpiece of the chamber music repertoire in the soaring, sublime D minor Piano Trio.
