Tony Parker's Heroes and Villains

June 10, 2022–September 04, 2022

Cowden Gallery

This summer at SAMA: A line-up of some of the most popular figures produced by Marvel Comics and DC comics! Come see life-size sculptures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the Hulk, among other superheroes who have intrigued and entertained us for decades!

Some forty-one figures from the best-loved comic book and science and fantasy fiction sagas of our day, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers, are on view in the Cowden Gallery. Other figures such as Groot, Rocket Raccoon, and Han Solo encased in carbonite will surprise and delight. This exhibition of sculptures from the collection of San Antonio Spurs legend Tony Parker will excite imaginations and inspire memories. Related films will be offered as part of the Museum’s summer programming.

Tony Parker’s Heroes and Villains exhibition is included with general museum admission. Please note there is a $5 exhibition surcharge during Bexar County resident free general admission hours (Tuesdays 4:00–6:00 p.m. and Sundays 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.)
