Performances
The Museum presents a series of in-gallery and outdoor concerts and performances. On the second Friday of each month grab your friends and head over to pARTy for art, music and cocktails on the River Landing at SAMA. Each month features a particular aspect of the Museum's art and pairs it with a complementary musical genre and a unique specialty cocktail. Innovative musical tours called Music on the Move and gallery concerts highlight the Museum’s extensive collection and special exhibitions. These special events are offered throughout the year. Enjoy views of the River Walk and live music on the terrace of Café des Artistes every Friday with dinner and wine specials. Films Enjoy documentary and feature films related to special exhibitions and the permanent collection. Film screenings are often enriched by perspectives from authors, critics, curators and scholars. All films are free with Museum admission; tickets are available one hour prior to screenings. SAMA presents the Global Lens 2012 film series, an annual, curated program of award-winning feature films around the world selected for their authentic voice and cultural perspective. The Global Lens film series is sponsored by the Global Film Initiative. For more information, visit www.globalfilm.org. Additional support provided by the San Antonio Film Commission. |
