Great changes

We are renovating several areas of our campus over the next 18 months beginning in July 2016. New European galleries (4th floor) will allow us to double our display space. Look for the return of old favorites plus new works. We are refreshing and refurbishing our auditorium and our first floor restrooms. Along the way, we are replacing all our roofs. (Thank you hailstorm of April 12, 2016!)

Our major project is moving the cooling and heating systems from the roof of our building to a new central plant across Jones Avenue. There will be some trenching! In return, we will have better climate-control in the galleries. Great for the art and good for your comfort, too.

We've still got thousands of square feet of art and outdoor spaces for you to enjoy. Stay tuned, as we do our best to care for our fantastic art collection and welcome you to some new and improved galleries and spaces in our Museum.

Thank you for your patience and please pardon our appearance as we renovate.

Please note:

  • The European galleries are being renovated.
  • The Skybridge is closed.
  • Persian Ceiling by Dale Chihuly is currently not on view.
  • The glass gallery is temporarily closed.
  • Due to construction, some works/ galleries may be temporarily off view for the safety of the art. Thank you for your patience.
