What's in Your Museum?

SAMA offers four themed weeks of fun activities in a safe, educational environment. The classes are based on the permanent collection and incorporate a variety of activities to include gallery talks and tours, hands-on demonstrations from local artists and museum educators, painting and drawing techniques, sculpture, storytelling, creative writing and more.   Through these activities, students will begin to understand how the museum collection can serve as a learning tool while encouraging the exploration of new ideas.  Scholarships are used to pay the way for students nominated by teachers in SA school districts and the funds go towards paying for the portion of the program not covered by paid registrations. What's in Your Museum? is made possible by generous support from the San Antonio Museum of Art Docents.
