In this illustrated lecture, Dr. Oettinger examines two rare portraits of Fr. Margil, now on loan to the Museum.  It follows Oettinger on recent research trips to central Mexico where he explored Margil’s role in the founding Franciscan missionary colleges in Querétaro and Zacatecas in 1697 and 1706, respectively.
