Curator David S. Rubin interviews Norman Rene Avila, Donjon Evans, and George Horner, the founders of SAMOMA (San Antonio Museum of Art).  One of San Antonio's first artist-run spaces, SAMOMA presented exhibitions in two San Antonio locations from 1976-79.  Many of the artists went on to earn wider recognation, and are included in the exhibition "Artists of SAMOMA from the SAMA Collection," on view from February 9 - May 26 in the Contemporary Galleries on the second floor of the East Tower.
